At the Positive Psychology conference in Toronto last week, Dr. Greg Wells, physiologist and broadcaster on CTV Olympics explained this concept:  Find something in your life that you would like to change/improve and be 1% better.  People tend to take an all or nothing approach to change which often leads to disappointment.  So go to bed 15 minutes earlier if you are sleep deprived.  If you want to decrease body fat, eliminate one small item–have milk instead of cream in your coffee.  Ask yourself “can I be 1% better?”  To live an Olympic life, he believes small changes over an extended period of time will get you there.  I agree.  P.S.  While you are watching the Olympics you could do some exercises in front of the TV such as push-ups or flexibility exercises!
